Baby Safety In The Sun

There's been a lot in the news recently about keeping your baby safe and cool in the sun. We might think we're doing the best for our baby by covering their pushchair with a blanket or muslin cloth to keep the sun off and help them sleep. But actually we're just creating a thermos.

* Swedish researchers said covering a pram created a 'thermos' of heat

* The temperature inside a covered pram can be 15 degrees hotter
* The researchers warned to not cover a pram with a muslin cloth or blanket
* Overheating can lead to heat stroke or sudden infant death syndrome
