Who doesn’t want to live in the lap of luxury: we all want to live in surroundings that are as stylish and comfortable as possible, and you know what? We most certainly can. No matter what your budget might be, there are things you can do to add more luxury to your home right now, as you will see below.

Swap out your lampshade

A really good way to make your home feel more luxurious is to remove the standard fabric lampshades and replace them with sparkling glass chandeliers. You might not be able to afford crystal., but even a basic glass pendant will reflect the light in stunning ways and give your home a more expensive feel than it has ever had before.

Fabulous foliage

This might sound like a simple thing that is not all that luxurious, but adding houseplants to your home really can make it seem more extravagant. The key is to choose big, bold leafy plants that take up space and make their presence known. Not only will they look amazing, but they will help you to stay calm and relaxed at home too. Bring nature indoors and you will not regret it.

Upgrade your bath

There is nothing more luxurious than relaxing in a big hot bath with spa jets. Your troubles, as well as your aches and pains simply melt away and you feel amazing, so why not visit your local high level bathroom showroom and see about getting a roomier, more luxurious bath installed? If you don’t already have one, a rainfall showerhead will give you more luxury when you choose to shower, rather than take a bath, too.

Dramatic darkness

If you are brave, then painting your walls black or aubergine purple or darkest reed, for example, will make it feel far more opulent and glamorous than the average home with its neutral creams or greys. Even painting just one wall in each room will have a stunning effect, but if you are brave enough to paint them all, ten your home will be elevated even more than you can imagine.

Layers and layers

If simple luxury is more your thing, then layering up the fabrics in your house will help. Start with thick, luxuriant curtains made of velvet or similarly opulent materials. Then add a Persian rug, followed by lots of thickly woven blankets, crochet throws and furry covers and you will build not only luxury but comfort and style, into your space.

Finishing touches

From freshly cut flowers to solid silver door handles, often it is the littlest touches that make a home feel more luxurious. After all, when you do sweat the small stuff, it shows an attention to detail that you would only usually find in the finest of homes in the country.

Adding a little extra luxury to your home, as you can see, is pretty simple, and often much more affordable than you might have thought so what are you waiting for?
